Wide Fitting Shoes
With the current heat-wave hitting the UK this summer, many people complain of sweaty feet and the added discomfort this brings. Unfortunately not a lot can be done about the weather, but the comfort of your feet can be greatly improved by ensuring that the shoes you are wearing fit properly. If you do suffer discomfort along the edges of your feet, especially at the widest point, then chances are that you might benefit from a pair of wide fitting shoes.
If your shoes or trainers are too narrow then when you get sweaty feet from hot weather you run a good risk of blisters or abrasions on your feet where your shoes rub the skin. Even when wearing a thick pair of socks, the gentle rubbing motion of the shoe on to damp skin can remove a substantial amount of flesh. This is the last thing you want and is something that can be easily avoided with a set of wide fitting shoes.
Admittedly, a lot of wide fitting shoes don’t look particularly good, which can put off a lot of people. But at the same time spending all summer walking around with open sores on your feet rubbing against hard shoe is even less appealing. Fortunately even now and again a well established designer brand brings some wide fitting shoes, meaning that if you keep your wits about you, you can find a shoe that matches your foot and your sense of style.
